 Bill Gates is the richest man in the world and Vladimir Putin is unofficially the most powerful man in the world, according to a new report. Bill Gates was unveiled as the world's richest billionaire with a net worth of $1.2 billion (1.4 billion euros), compared with $9.5 billion in 2013. 

    

His real fortune of $61.6 billion makes him the world's 10th richest billionaire, according to Forbes. His net worth is $72.4 billion, earning him the title of "richest billionaire" or "person in the world" for the second year in a row. 

    

According to Forbes, Bezos is the world's richest man for the second year in a row, with a net worth of $72.4 billion. He is currently worth $1.2 billion, more than twice the next man on the list, Bill Gates. 

    

Bezos, for his part, is still the world's richest man, but his fortune has taken a hit in recent months, when he and his wife, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, reached an agreement to resolve lingering questions about how the split might affect the world's rich man's financial status. The following breakdown is considered the fourth richest woman in the world, according to Forbes. 

    

The top dog by far is Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, who has a personal net worth of $204.6 billion. Although the ranking has only one person per country, the world's ten richest men (with the exception of Bill Gates, who is worth $118B) all have a net worth of at least $1.5 billion. In that particular ranking, Bezos is still the richest man in the country that Forbes rates as his home in the United States. Ortega lost to Microsoft, which is the fifth richest man in the world, worth $105.9 billion, according to Forbes. 

His real wealth is $117.4 billion, earning him the title of the world's richest person. Tesla boss Elon Musk - who is pretty much ahead of Musk with an estimated net worth of $195 billion - is ahead of Musk, according to Bloomberg Billionaire Index. There is no shortage of tantalising figures on this year's list of the ten richest men. 

    

The founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, co-founder Bill Gates, has a fortune of $115.9 billion. He ranks second on the list with a net worth of $121 billion, behind Warren Buffett and ahead of Warren Buffet, the world's richest man. 

    

CEO of Alphabet Inc., who is currently the second richest person in the world, behind Warren Buffett and ahead of Warren Buffet. He has an estimated fortune of $96.5 billion, making him the ninth richest person in the world. Bezos has $100 billion more wealth than fellow American Steve Jobs, who lives in Seattle, while Carlos is 21st on the list with a fortune of about $50 billion. 

    

Ambani has been Asia's richest man for some time, but he has climbed up the world's list of richest people this year. He is the second richest person in the world behind Warren Buffett and ahead of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. 

This is the first time since 2014 that the oil tycoon topped the list of the world's richest people, overtaking Mexico's Carlos Slim Helu, a billionaire investor and - in the process - Goldman Sachs boss. He remains at the top with a net worth of $190 billion, while Microsoft founder Bill Gates is in second place with a net worth of $114 billion. The 60-year-old Microsoft boss was named on Forbes' billionaires list for the second time in three years after being $4.2 billion poorer than in 2015, but he overtook Mexico's "Carlos the Slim" Helu in 2014. Bezos retains the title of the world's richest man for 2017 and is on the verge of retaining his position as the world's richest man in 2017. 

    

African King was the richest man in the world because his contemporaries simply could not fathom his wealth. Oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller is the first person to have a fortune of more than $1 billion at any time, often referred to as the rich man who ever lived. There is only one place on the Forbes Billionaires list where someone makes $100 billion or more in net income: the United States. 

    

Steve Ballmer's net worth is estimated at $70.1 billion, making him the second richest man in the United States, behind only Bill Gates. Alice Walton's net worth was estimated at $64.5 billion when she died in 2010, making her the third richest person in America. 

    

Bezos went public in 1997 and became the first man since Bill Gates in 1999 to reach a net worth of $100 billion. Even for an already rich man, the amount of wealth that has grown in recent years as a result of Amazon and Bezos's investments in Amazon is staggering. Bill Gates is the founder of Microsoft and for several years the richest man in the world.
